The key to a successful first date is to relax and just be the real you. If you try to act in a way that you think the other person will like, then they may start liking someone who you are not, and in the end you will wind up breaking up and getting hurt, so honest truly is the best policy, and in the end if you are just being you and it does not work you, you know they were not the one for you.

Dating is like gambling at poker, sure a good bluff may win you a hand or two but you are not going to win the World Series of Poker by bluffing, only by playing the best you can. This is no different from dating if you make things up to try and impress this person they are not liking you but are liking the fake you and eventually they will see the two are no the same.

Try to think back to the things you talked about when the both of you spoke on the phone and see if you learned anything that may help you decide where to go for your date, but if you do not have enough information about them to know what they may like you sometimes have to gamble and throw the dice, and hope you don’t crap out.

The most important thing to do on a first date is to have a good time, the bigger a deal you make of it the harder it is going to be and the higher the chances of you making a jerk of yourself. If you are nervous before the date take a few minutes and take a few deep breaths and if this does not help then I recommend you do what I like to do in the casinos when my nerves are bothering me I simply have a drink. The alcohol in one drink will usually calm me down enough to concentrate.

The key to having a nice first date is simple:

Take her/ him to a nice place, quite but not too quiet, you should be able to hear each other but other distractions are also good for those uncomfortable moments.

Do not take her/ him to a place where your friends hang out, this will make her/ him feel as if they are being ganged up on or they may feel out of place and resent you for making them feel that way.

It is very important to have the whole night planned out already before the date and have a backup idea just incase. The tricky part is making it look like it was not all planned. Let’s say you decide that you are going to take her for dinner, then after you want to take a walk on the beach do not just say hey after dinner let’s take a walk on the beach. I would recommend you wait till after dinner and ask her if she wants to take a walk to burn off dinner and then take her to the beach.

Then when you are on the beach take her/his hand while walking, this makes a physical connection between you and makes it easier later on when you go for your first kiss.

Just remember that dating is a gambling sometimes you are going to get a bad hand and eventually if you play your cards right you will find the right person and win the jackpot.

5 Tips For Outdoors Life

You love nature and the outdoors life. How can you get the very most from it, though? In a world where there seems to be more concrete than dirt, it can be rather challenging to even get out into the outdoors life. That means that you need to make the most out of what you have to play with. No matter what you enjoy doing; you can do it the best way possible when you take these tips to heart. Your outdoors life can be one of excitement, relaxation and complete bonding with nothing other that the pure air around you.

Tips To Roll With

•	Start with having the best products to take with you. Sure, you could go camping with that old tent. But, if you go camping with a new one, which is fully insulated, waterproof and even features an easy set up, there is more time to enjoy the outdoors life instead of dealing with the problems. Do this with all of your leisure products. If you plan to take it with you, make sure it is high quality. You’ll appreciate and enjoy your leisure pursuits much more if you’ve purchased the right quality.
•	Be prepared. Sure, it’s the Boy Scout motto but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. The fact is that your outdoors life can be so much better when you are sure that you have all the risks taken care of, as much as is humanely possible. Provide for all the things that you need, in good quality, and enjoy what the outdoors life has to offer you. It’s that simple.
•	Take time to play. If you can’t get out to spend some quality outdoors time with your friends, make sure that you bring the fun to your home. While you can’t go hunting in your backyard, you definitely can play a sport. Make life a little more fun and a lot less stressful by enjoying the outdoors life.
•	Outdoors life should be something that you look forward to. Make sure it is something that you think about by planning trips and outings into your favorite outdoors life adventures. Plan them!
•	Outdoors life can only be better when you do it with friends, so make sure that you spend plenty of it with them.

Your outdoors life is one of many dreams and aspirations. If you plan to enjoy that life, get the best products, a few friends and head out to play. Life is so much better when you can say that you have spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors life.

10. Weekend Getaway. A weekend retreat to a ski lodge could be great for the mom who needs a weekend to unwind.

9. Digital Camera. For the new mom, this makes a great gift. Children grow up so fast, catching those fleeting moments are important. With scrap booking becoming so popular, digital cameras also make a great gift for the scrapbook lover.

8. Charitable Donation. For the mom who never stops giving, she would be honored to know that a donation was given to her favor charity in her name. This is truly a gift that keeps on giving.

7. Buy a Tree or Star. Have that special mom immortalized for years to come. Have a star named after her or buy a tree in her name. With God’s love that star and tree will be around even if we are not.

6. Night Out. New mothers would surely appreciate a night out of the house with some adult conversation and atmosphere. It’s a simple request, yet such a grand gesture for those moms who just want an evening as an adult. This works well with the morning and afternoon spent with the children. That is what Mother’s Day is about in the first place.

5. Spa Day. Most mothers I know could use a spa day. Whether her children are at home or have long since moved out, a spa day is great choice. Spa Days range from a whole package of all the goodies like mud baths and lunch or just a half hour of massage

4. Jewelry. A great idea would be give her a pendant with picture of her child/ren in it or a bracelet, ring or necklace with the birthstone/s of children or grandchildren.

3. Gift Baskets. You can find Gift baskets that contain any and everything. There are baskets that are specifically designed for Mother’s Day, but other choices include gourmet and fruit baskets, spa bsakets and candle baskets. Many places also make custom baskets.

2. Flowers and Plants. This is the most common of Mother’s Day gifts. It’s the obvious choice for that bouquet lover or for a very picky person.

1. The Star Treatment. Being a good mother is the hardest job in the world. Offering that special mom the star treatment for a day is a great gift. Start with allowing her to sleep in. As if that weren’t gift enough, breakfast in bed and cleaning the house is just what the mom ordered. Lunch and dinner preparation should be included along with bathing, feeding and dressing the children. Basically don’t allow her to left a finger. Supply a good book or time for her to do what she wants. What mother wouldn’t want a day to recuperate?

For some drivers, their cars have become money pits. Higher fuel prices have been the monkey wrench that has spoiled many a motorists driving experience. No longer can any of us count on cheap fuel, high gasoline prices are here to stay. However, you can save money on your overall car expenses and restore your driving pleasure quickly. Here are some tips to guide you along the way:

Regular Gas v. Premium Gas – Very few vehicles built today require premium gasoline. Thanks to knock sensors, which adjust the mixture of air and fuel to your engine, many cars can run on “87” octane fuel v. “91” octane fuel. By selecting the cheaper priced grade of fuel, you can save a nice amount of money over one year’s time.

Wash it Yourself. No one does a better job of washing and waxing your car then you do. Avoid those all too frequent trips to the car wash and save some money today. Of course, if you live in a more northerly climate where snow and road salt usage is pervasive, going to a car wash is a must in order to protect your vehicle’s body. Buy a coupon book to save on multiple washes.

What’s in Your Wallet? If you aren’t already using a rewards credit card for your gasoline purchases, you should be. Some cards are designed to give you an instant price reduction at the pump. Shop around for the card that is right for you.

Check Your Tires. Under inflated tires can reduce gasoline mileage by as much as 10%. In addition, under inflated tires will wear out faster too.
Review Your Insurance Policy. You may be paying for too much insurance on your car especially if it is worth less than $3000 and you still have collision coverage. Drop the collision coverage and bank the savings toward a down payment on your next car. Make certain that all of your other personal information is accurate too as an incorrectly listed zip code can impact your rates.

Change Your Oil. Granted, not too many people change their car’s oil anymore. With ten minute oil change shops so widespread, the convenience factor is a big consideration. Still, if you have someone else changing your oil, you do not need to change it every 3000 miles unless you subject your car to severe driving. Check your manufacturer’s recommendations and change it according to their specifications, not Jiffy Lube’s.

Do the Work Yourself. Some maintenance you can do yourself thereby avoiding having to pay high labor charges and too much for your parts. Air filters, oil filters, belts, batteries, and many other smaller parts can be changed by most motorists. Shop online through a discount wholesaler and you can save even more money on premium automotive parts.

Gas prices are likely to remain high, so saving money elsewhere becomes even more important. A wise consumer shops around for the best deals and there are plenty of them out there. In the face of a fuel crisis, you may have to curtail some of your driving or at least change your driving habits, however the “Great American Past Time” is alive and well and cruising down a freeway near you. Safe driving!

If you know nothing about sports and you still feel the urge to wager, baseball is the easiest sports to wager on. As opposed to football and basketball, where you are mixed up with the point spreads and other confusing calculations, in baseball betting you simply put your money on the outcome of the game. In addition, the baseball season lasts longer, which means more matches and bigger chances to go home with the winning money. Here is a step to step guide to baseball betting.

The main difference between baseball betting and other team sports betting such as football and basketball is that while the latter ones use point spreads, the former uses the money line.

What is a Point Spread?
Point spread is the most common betting type offered in football and basketball betting. The sportsbook spreads the odd of a certain match by subtracting points from the favorite team, which is the team most likely to win and adding points to the underdog, which is the team that will raise a lot of eyebrows if wins.

What is a Money Line?
In baseball betting, the sportsbook sets the odds strictly on the outcome of the match. In order to even the action, bettors would have to risk more money on the favorite and risk less on the underdog. This is called the money line.

For example, if the money line is minus 170 on the favorite and plus 150 on the underdog, then you would have to bet 170 dollars on the favorite in order to earn 100 dollars. On the other hand, if you bet 100 dollars on the underdog, you would win 150 dollars if they would eventually win the match.

The difference between the minus 170 on the favorite and the plus 150 on the underdog is known as the twenty cent line. If the money line was minus on the favorite and plus 150 on the underdog, it is called the ten cent line or dime line. The fifteen cent line is also common in baseball betting.

Sportsbooks also offer total bets and run lines in baseball betting.

1) Total Bets:
These wagers are based on the sum of the runs scored by both of the teams. For example, if the sportsbook sets the over under total of a match as 7, the over wins if the sum of the runs scored by both teams exceeds 7 and the under wins if it sums up to less than 7.

2) The Run Line:
This wager is the baseball variation of point spread. When you are betting on the run line, you are betting on whether one of the teams wins by more than one run, which is marked as minus 1.5 or stays within one run, marked as plus 1.5.

Conclusion:
Although the money line makes baseball betting simpler than football and basketball betting, it causes the payoffs calculation to be more complicated:

1) In order to calculate the payoff when wagering on the favorite you should add 1 to the favorite price and divide it with the favorite price.

2) In order to calculate the payoff when wagering on the underdog you should add 1 to the underdog price.

Most people who work in an office environment, buy computer products, or have a computer at home have had the “fun” experience of dealing with technical support. It’s not always the easiest, or most pleasant, experience but hopefully this article will help you make the best of the situation the next time you call. Below you will find a list of things to keep in mind the next time your computer breaks down.

1.Stay calm – Don’t yell at the support person on the other end of the phone. He is there only to help and the more angry you are the less help you are going to get.

2.Get to the point – Ask your question or explain your situation right away. Don’t beat around the bush.

3.Don’t be arrogant – You are calling technical support because you need help. Don’t try and be a smart guy.

4.Call for yourself – Don’t call for a friend, relative, or coworker. It’s very difficult, for the person trying to help you, when you are repeating information that you got from someone else.

5.Stay at the computer – Make sure you are at the computer with the problem when you call. It’s hard for someone to help you through a problem if don’t have access to the computer.

6.Record the error – If you are calling about an error you saw, make sure you write it down. It’s hard for someone to help you if all you can say is “There was a box on my screen that had writing in it”.

7.Find out how many people are affected – The priority of your call can be greatly influenced by the amount of people it is affecting. If the problem is affecting a number of people it will probably be escalated to a higher level.

8.Be patient – By default, technical support usually has certain questions they are required to ask. These are not meant to make you angry, they help in the process of solving your problem.

9.Know what kind of support is offered – Ask around the office before calling to see what kind of support is offered. Not all technical support centers offer “How to” help. If your support group does not offer this type of support you may have to get a coworker to help.

10.*The Golden Rule*: Technical support is trying to help – The reason you called, in the first place, is because you needed help with something. Try not to make it difficult for the person on the other end to help you.

These tips aren’t just some random bunch of words I have put together. I am one of the people you get on the phone when you call technical support. I have been working in a Help Desk environment for almost two years and have heard almost every excuse, lie, and problem you can imagine. For me, it makes things much easier if the caller follows these simple rules. Technical support is made up of people too. Try and treat them as you would want to be treated and I guarantee your next experience will be much better.

We all come to a point where we get tired of playing board games, hide them under our closet and forget that they ever existed.

At this point, you simply stop playing because you lost the interest anymore. While it is very unfortunate and should not happen at all, the reality is, it does. This doesn’t mean, however, that you cannot bring back that lost interest you once had.

Here are some of the ways to rejuvenate your interest in playing your favorite board game and start enjoying it as if it is the first time you play the game:

Play with your best pals
You have to agree on this: in most cases, enjoyment is not dependent on the game itself but on the people you are playing with. Board games just facilitate the fun no matter how bad or how well it is rated by the experts since a good company of friends can always turn a horrible game into a source of laughter. Make sure that you maximize the number of players in the game. And if the game allows you to play with as many players as you can, call all your friends, schedule the time and date, order some snacks and play till your hearts content.

Play with your family
You do not always have to schedule a family night in order to play with your parents, brothers and sisters. At any given moment, when everybody is doing nothing, you can always bring out your board game and invite your any member of your family to play.

Don’t think of anything; just focus in the game
Spoilers come in different forms but they all arrive at a very bad timing – when everyone is starting to have fun. An unwanted phone call or a text message in the middle of the game, a burning pot in the kitchen, a knock on the door from an unexpected visitor or an unfinished task that must be done immediately always ruin the activity. So before you begin playing, make sure that the homework is finished, the cell phones in quiet mode and doors locked. Simply put, play when you do not have anything to do.

Improve every time you play
Challenge yourself to become a better player after every game. To do this, you can read some tricks, tips and techniques on how to play your chosen game better and apply it each time you face other players on the table. It is also recommended to play against better opponents no matter what type of game it is.

Read and learn the rules
Players can always modify the rules of the game as long as everyone is aware of the changes. But playing outside the official rules of the game is more than a consensus. This is not to say that players always cheat. It only means that many rules of board games are not always used because no one is really aware of it. Reading the rule book is not so hard. Just spend some time in understanding what it says will make a difference between appreciating the game and getting bored after several times of playing.

Rules can be bent, of course. But only if you understand the game well will make some changes in the rule sensible and at the same time, leaned towards the enjoyment of everyone.

The key to winning a scrabble game is to finish with the highest score when all the tiles have been laid down on the table – with emphasis on the phrase “to finish with the highest score.” I said this because many players, mainly beginners, only try to come up with words regardless of the point-value. As a result, they may have laid all their tiles down but still score low at the end of the game.

As with most games, constant practice makes one perfect, or at least, better. In scrabble, however, you have to possess some tricks in order to win.

Work with the Q
The letter ‘Q’ is perhaps the most dreaded letter in scrabble, especially if it is not hooked with the letter ‘U’. But did you know that there are 21 words that use a Q without a U? They are: FAQIR(S), QAID(S), QANAT(S), QAT(S), QINDAR(S), QINTAR(S), QINDARKA, QOPH(S), QWERTY(S), SHEQEL, SHEQELIM and TRANQ(S). Other words that may come in handy are QIVIUT(S), MAQUI(S), SUQ(S), UMIAQ(S) and BUQSHA(S).

Learn the X, J, Q and Z words
The letters X, J, Q and Z have the highest point-value. Ironically, beginners hate these letters. But if you will just study words that have any of these letters, not only you will have a higher score, you will also prevent your opponent from scoring a bingo.

Don’t waste your S’s
Surely, the easiest way to score is to add an S to an existing word on the board. This is good if you will land on a double or triple word score. But if you are just using S without any reason or simply because it is the first possible move you see on the table, you are just giving your opponent an extra move and at the same time, wasting a valuable letter. Play the letter S if the value yields to at least 10 points, lower than that and you are playing to lose. For example, ROLL is just 4 points. If you add S to make it ROLLS, it will just give you 5 points. But if the word is JUMP, adding S on a double word score space will yield to 26 points. Keep your S for a while until you can maximize its value.

Go Bingo Hunting
Another trick you have to remember is to look for prefixes and suffixes. The word PAIR can become REPAIR or PAIRING or even, REPAIRING. TAIL can be linked with RE- to make it RETAIL or RE- and -ERS to make it RETAILERS. Having the letters S, R, E, I, N and G can be very, very useful.

Learn the 2-letter words
When the board begins to get crowded and long words begin to lose their place, you start going for 2-letter words. But if your vocabulary is limited, you cannot simply invent words, right? QI, SO, TO, UP, OW, OX, XI, KI and HO are just an example. There are more. Learn them.

Tapestries are just as good to have as paintings. With hundreds of designs to choose from, you are sure to find the right one which you can display in your home.

But before you go buying your wall tapestry, you have to measure the wall so you get one that is not too big or too small. Ideally, this should not fit the entire wall but right on the center with some allowance on the left and right side.

Since well designed and made tapestries go for hundreds of dollars, be sure to choose one which you can hand down like a family heirloom.

One way to do that is to bring along swatch samples of your couch, curtain or anything else in the room so you have an idea if the design you pick will work with your theme.

You can also check what material is the tapestry made of so this also matches with the furniture and the curtains in the room even if it is rare that you will find one made by hand since most of these are made by machine.

If you have found a good tapestry, don’t buy it yet and tell the person to reserve it. That way, you can check out other stores which may also have the same design and compare their prices. If this is the best price, one last place to check before you buy it and bring it home is online.

When you buy a tapestry, this does not come with its own rod and brackets. That is something you have to buy separately so when you are choosing one from the hardware store, make sure it can support the weight of the tapestry otherwise it could sag or even break later on.

Since tapestries have a tendency to bend, curl or wave later on, prepare for it right now by getting some weights that you can put at the bottom end. Another option will be to put a rod in between by sowing your own sleeve at the bottom.

For those who don’t want to hang it using a rod, another option will be to buy brads and tacks. Just make sure you have enough tacks to prevent the tapestry from sagging. You can also use Velcro by nailing on one on the wall and sewing a strip of heavy cotton will on the tapestry.

You can buy tapestries from stores but if you money is not an option, go visit an art dealer who will have better items to offer. If you happen to see one in a museum, ask them about it because they may have a reproduced copy in store waiting for you.

Tapestries have been around for hundreds of years and in a time when paintings were not the trend, this is what the rich and famous displayed in their castles and palaces.

Because these are now in mass production, you will find a variety of these around and not only for your walls. There are also tapestries that can be used as throws or rugs so go out there and get them. So this will last for many years, clean it using a light brush or vacuum cleaner at least once or twice a year and avoid letting it get direct contact with sunlight.

Saving money can be difficult in an economy that discourages people from spending, but in the context of mass media that encourages spending on everything that you want. This can seem illogical, but it seems to be the way of all capitalism, and if your children are not careful, they can be caught in quite a number of financial traps.

First of all, they may be taught in school that working hard can earn them money, but they might not be taught how to keep that money handy – and they could be misled into believing that hard work can and should be rewarded by spending magnificently on big, noisy things. This can be true especially for teenagers, who face the pressure of their fellow teens when they want to dress well in school, join other teens in their hangouts, and spend their money – actually, your money – in getting things that they want.

You may have a hard time convincing teens to start saving their money, but there are actually ways that you can motivate them to start their own saving. Here are a few ways for you to begin.

- Set a good example. In other words, show, don’t tell. If you keep on telling your kids to save, but you don’t save money yourself and constantly spend it on luxury items, then you don’t only send the wrong signal to your children, you also encourage them to do their own spending. Of course, you are licensed to spend your hard-earned cash on things that you need, but make up for your spending in other areas, say in having a set amount of money to set aside each month for your bank account, or investing in stocks and bonds.

- Don’t stop at the example: get your kids their own bank account. Although this may be counterintuitive, it can actually force your kids to save. Put some money into the account to start it, but only enough to do so; let your kids find ways to make their bank accounts grow. Encourage them to take part time jobs, such as mowing your neighbors’ lawns, babysitting, or even writing short articles for websites. There are many ways that they can earn money, and this will not only motivate them to save, it will actually show them the value of a job.

- And don’t stop at the bank! If you can, open insurance accounts for your teens and make them pay a portion of the premiums. Moreover, make your teens invest in mutual funds, stocks, bonds, or anything that will allow their money to grow. Encourage them to read more about how the stock market works. This way, you can empower them to make their own money later, and give them a chance to start getting money early. And since you are not giving them any money and they are making it themselves, they will find ways to keep themselves out of trouble on their own, without your interference.

- Have rewards ready for good savings, say a hundred dollars for every five hundred that your teen saves. Avoid rewarding them, however, for good grades, as they may work in school for monetary rewards – think, if you kept them in this mindset, what would happen when they get to college?

Give rewards for jobs, not grades, and your kids will be in school to learn. School, after all, is another set of motivational rules altogether.
