For some drivers, their cars have become money pits. Higher fuel prices have been the monkey wrench that has spoiled many a motorists driving experience. No longer can any of us count on cheap fuel, high gasoline prices are here to stay. However, you can save money on your overall car expenses and restore your driving pleasure quickly. Here are some tips to guide you along the way:

Regular Gas v. Premium Gas – Very few vehicles built today require premium gasoline. Thanks to knock sensors, which adjust the mixture of air and fuel to your engine, many cars can run on “87” octane fuel v. “91” octane fuel. By selecting the cheaper priced grade of fuel, you can save a nice amount of money over one year’s time.

Wash it Yourself. No one does a better job of washing and waxing your car then you do. Avoid those all too frequent trips to the car wash and save some money today. Of course, if you live in a more northerly climate where snow and road salt usage is pervasive, going to a car wash is a must in order to protect your vehicle’s body. Buy a coupon book to save on multiple washes.

What’s in Your Wallet? If you aren’t already using a rewards credit card for your gasoline purchases, you should be. Some cards are designed to give you an instant price reduction at the pump. Shop around for the card that is right for you.

Check Your Tires. Under inflated tires can reduce gasoline mileage by as much as 10%. In addition, under inflated tires will wear out faster too.
Review Your Insurance Policy. You may be paying for too much insurance on your car especially if it is worth less than $3000 and you still have collision coverage. Drop the collision coverage and bank the savings toward a down payment on your next car. Make certain that all of your other personal information is accurate too as an incorrectly listed zip code can impact your rates.

Change Your Oil. Granted, not too many people change their car’s oil anymore. With ten minute oil change shops so widespread, the convenience factor is a big consideration. Still, if you have someone else changing your oil, you do not need to change it every 3000 miles unless you subject your car to severe driving. Check your manufacturer’s recommendations and change it according to their specifications, not Jiffy Lube’s.

Do the Work Yourself. Some maintenance you can do yourself thereby avoiding having to pay high labor charges and too much for your parts. Air filters, oil filters, belts, batteries, and many other smaller parts can be changed by most motorists. Shop online through a discount wholesaler and you can save even more money on premium automotive parts.

Gas prices are likely to remain high, so saving money elsewhere becomes even more important. A wise consumer shops around for the best deals and there are plenty of them out there. In the face of a fuel crisis, you may have to curtail some of your driving or at least change your driving habits, however the “Great American Past Time” is alive and well and cruising down a freeway near you. Safe driving!

Most people are aware about the rising cost of fuel in the market today, unfortunately, most of them don’t know what they can do to save.

If you want some simple tips to decrease your fuel costs, then try to take this article seriously. Here are some very helpful tips that will help you save money on gas.

Don’t leave your car to run on idle.

Whenever possible, park your car and turn off the engine instead of letting it run on idle. Idling for long periods of time causes unnecessary heat stress on the engine since all not all mechanical processes are functioning.

Always try to keep your car in the shade when parked. Gasoline evaporates when exposed to high temperatures and vaporizes quickly. Parking the car under the shade will also allow you to use less air conditioning when starting up.

Carpooling is also one of the best ways to save money on gas. You could carpool with friends on your way to work or when you run errands.

Always try to look for more affordable gas filling stations. Don’t just fill up at any gas station, but try to look around different stations to compare rates. Competition has allowed stations to be cheaper than others.

Unload your car with unnecessary clutter. Weight is a factor in fuel consumption, too. You’ll get better gas mileage if you take unnecessary weight out of your vehicle. Don’t carry heavy equipment, tools, or other items unless necessary.

Legwork is another good way to save up on gas. Absolutely the best way to save money is to walk or ride your bike wherever you need to go for short distances away. Not only do you use less gas, you get to have some exercise in the process.

Fill ‘er up. Cut down the number of trips to the gas station by filling up your tank when you go. It is also best practice to wait until the tank is ¼ full before you fill up again.

Avail of gas promotions. Some stations offer loyalty programs or discount cards that can save you at least a few cents per gallon, so take advantage of these. Those little savings add up after a while.

Conserve your airconditioning use. If you feel you don’t need to turn your car air conditioning on, turn it off. You might even try turning it on for a short period and then turning it off again.

If possible and not too uncomfortable, commute. You could try taking public transportation to work or to run other errands. It saves you money, gets you some needed exercise and better for the environment.

Time it right. Whenever possible, gas up you car at the coolest time of day. You’ll have less evaporation than when it’s warmer.

Plan your trips, even short ones. Try to get several of your errands done at once. This will save you gas on driving back and forth all week. You can make a plan to go once a week. Planning also cuts down on unnecessary or spur of the moment trips.

Roll up your windows while driving on highways. Open windows create more wind resistance, which will decrease your gas mileage.

Be efficient in looking for parking spots. When trying to find a parking area, choose the first good spot you can find and avoid wasting gas driving around looking for better parking areas. You may also want to walk between stores.

Hope these other helpful tips can help you get along and save money for the rainy days.

Isn’t it good to know that cars can now run with water added to the current conventional fuelling process to help motorists save money on gas.

Now that is has been said and has already been done, there is currently the technology to fuel cars with water and here are some tips how to make the most out of water for gas.

Running cars with water indeed has some very great advantages and it can really save money.

Here are some basic and welcome developments with this technology.

First, it can practically cut gas bills in half every month, resulting to huge savings.

Another advantage is the effect on the environment, since using water to gas greatly reduces, if not eliminates, dangerous and polluting gas emissions released into the air during the fuel combustion process.

Since water is used, which is a stable and natural substance, water by-products make the air cleaner and safer for everyone to breathe, plus, also helps stop global warming.

Gasoline is currently the fuel of choice for cars and other vehicles, however, running it purely on gas causes carbon deposits to build up over time from unburned fuel.

Here’s a simple analogy, gasoline as fuel is like a piece of wood. After using the wood for fuel, the by product are ashes, which is primarily carbon. So is the process with internal fuel combustion in engines, where the end products are unburned gas and carbon emissions.

Not only will one be able to notice a difference in the engine immediately since it runs smoothly, another noticeable change is that the engine stays cooler when water is used for fuel, since water is a natural cooling element.

The water will keep engines from overheating, resulting in fewer engine breakdowns and engine heat stress.

Another benefit to the engine is that using water to gas will make the engine run quieter and reduce knocking sounds caused by internal combustion, thus resulting to less vibration and provide less strain on the transmission process.

In the end, these positive changes to the engine results in fewer operating costs and less repairs.

This is a picture perfect description of what benefits one can reap with using water to gas, however, there could be the worry about the cost of a water fuel conversion kit can have.

With the current fuel saving devices and water for gas kits in the market, this technology has allowed motorists to save on fuel, install the kits in their engines with no negative effects or damage parts of the car, unless it is installed incorrectly or inappropriately.

Most of these water to gas kits can be removed at any time without damaging the car or make any difference, except that it has become a cleaner engine.

So why not try water to gas? In the long run, it’s much cheaper and environmentally-friendly.

Transporting an ATV can be a challenge, especially if you do not have the right equipment. Trying to transport an ATV in the back of a truck or in an all purpose trailer is not the best idea. It can be dangerous and make the task more difficult than it has to be. An unsecured ATV is dangerous and can injure people, and damage your truck or the ATV. If you are going to transport your ATV, make sure you use a specially designed ATV trailer and properly secure your ATV. Taking large heavy equipment such as an ATV on trips with you can be stressful, but using the proper trailer will reduce the amount of stress and make your tripe and enjoyable one.

An ATV trailer is a type of trailer made to transport ATV’s. Loading, unloading, and moving your ATV is much easier with a specially designed trailer and your ATV will be much more secure during transport. Most ATV trailers are made low to the ground and include a ramp that also folds up to secure your ATV after loading it. ATV trailers are made to withstand the weight of an ATV and have other safety features including places to use straps to secure your ATV.

There are some tips you should remember to make the most of your trip while transporting an ATV. Loading and unloading your ATV may seem like the hardest part, but compared to the challenges of driving with a trailer in tow these steps are relatively easy. Make sure the ramp on your trailer stays in good condition and if it is not attached, make sure it will not slip while you load or unload your ATV.

Driving while hauling your ATV in a trailer will prove to be the hardest part of transporting your ATV. Every move you make with your vehicle will cause your trailer to move as well. If you switch lanes or turn often, your trailer will also sway and move form side to side. Because the trailer is being towed a short distance behind your vehicle, the reaction of the trailer will be delayed.

It will take a few seconds longer for the trailer to stop swaying and the movements of the trailer may be more exaggerated than that of your vehicle. If you are new to towing trailers, you should practice on quiet roads near your house before you attempt to tow your ATV long distances.

Acceleration and braking is also different when you are towing a trailer. Obviously, you will not be able to accelerate as fast when towing a trailer so make sure you give yourself plenty of room when entering the road. You will also not be able to brake as quickly so do not follow as close to cars as you normally would.

The faster you drive, the more your trailer will move so always drive with caution while pulling your ATV trailer. You should also make sure your ATV is properly secured on the trailer so that is does not come loose from bumps and vibrations and get damaged or cause damage to anything else.

Hydrogen power has garnered all the hype these days and if you think that people are not using it, then you’re quite wrong. In fact, more and more people are now looking for a limitless supply of clean and usable hydrogen fuel. Have you finally decided to get a hydrogen fuel cell for your vehicle? If your answer to this question is a yes, read on to find out how.

There are a lot of advantages in building a hydrogen fuel cell. One is that it is cheap. If you’re looking for a cost effective energy source, make it hydrogen fuel. The fuel cell does not require a huge amount of money or resources. The parts of the hydrogen fuel cell can be obtained from the hardware store in your locality. Even if the hydrogen fuel cell is a powerful system, the parts are fortunately inexpensive and not very complicated.

Another advantage is that the fuel cells are not complicated. In fact, the process is quite easy. You will the following in building the fuel cell:

1. Quart-sized water container
2. Vacuum hose
3. Electrical wiring to be used in connecting the car battery to an HHO generator
4. Baking soda

If you don’t want to trouble yourself in purchasing the materials one by one, you can also buy HHO car kits. You can get the kits online or major local stores.

Once you have the different materials needed to build the fuel cells, you should be able to put them together properly. This is not hard to do as long as you have decent handyman skills. Building rocket power is definitely easy as compared to rocket science. The hydrogen fuel cells as mentioned awhile ago are not complicated and if you purchase the kits, it is equipped with step by step instructions in building the fuel cells.

So what’s it going to be? Are you going to purchase the materials one by one and later on research for the procedure on the net? Or are you going to opt for the HHO car kits? The choice will greatly depend on the individual. Oftentimes, price is a great factor when choosing between these two options. Well, it’s all up to you now. Just make sure that you choose the most cost effective way.

If you choose to purchase the materials one by one, you still need to find the needed information on how to build the hydrogen fuel cells. This is not a big problem and you have the Internet to thank for. You can find all the needed resources online to help you build the fuel cells. You can print the instructions to guide you every step of the way.

On the other hand, if you opt for the HHO car kits, you hit two birds with one stone. All the materials needed to build the fuel cell are included in the kit and you don’t have to research online for the instructions because it also included in the kit.

If you want to enjoy an unlimited supply of useful and clean energy, build your own HHO fuel cell now. As long as you know how to read and comprehend, you can build the fuel cells in no time. If you want, you can also ask help from friends and other family members.
